My music makes people dance in a higher state of consciousness
With my 4-deck hybrid techno setup and live drums, I drive up the energy to create a powerful danceable and spacy vibe. Manezz brings sets to life with fine technical skills and by adding live instruments, drum computer and samples improvised in the moment. My style is special in the field of industrial melodic techno, it is rolling and has spiritual goa influences. For me, a successful DJ set is a story told through emotion, with the right energy and in connection with the audience. To become fully independent in sharing the power of (my) music, I am working on own tracks. For now, it remains with defining my own sound and style. I believe I have found my setup: a hybrid 4 decks setup with mixer Model 1 from PLAYdifferently and a Roland TR-8S drum computer. This allows me to "produce" live and add sounds however I feel like. I love to improvise with live drums and effects. It allows me to create a vibe in the moment with the right energy. My last set on Soundcloud is recorded with my new setup, you can find it to listen below. For more than 10 years I have been organizing and promoting techno events in Belgium. I am co-founder and resident artist of the Antwerp event concept 'Weerslag'. Moreover, I am creative in the visual projection and spiritual area which has an influence on the organization of events, as well as on my music. It's the journey, not the destination. And so far, I love every step I've taken in this musical journey and look forward to what the future holds!
